Position parts and assy in new window.
Is it possible to when positioning a newly opend part from Model Manager (With option position at load marked) to get the part in a new smaller window and current assy in a big window? Instead of having to zoom out to see the newly opend part zoom in to it select an edge then zoom out and again in to current assy and select an edge.

How do I get an ECAD exported .IDF file to reference my 3D STEP database when importing to Creo?
Hi,
I am trying to pass an ECAD .IDF file from Mentor Graphics Expedition into CREO Direct Modeling 18.1 (with PCB licence). So far all of the components import with component outlines and height properties but have no details associated with them. (part pins, bga balls etc.) Only square blocks appear.
I have a database of 3D STEP models in a separate directory and i would like the .IDF file to reference this folder and use the detailed STEP models as parts for the imported PCB.
From what ive read the 3D models need to be in .prt or .asm format to reference them properly. I have not found a thread that explains this process.
Any help would be appreciated. thanks.

Zeichnungen erstellen
Ich habe mich ein paar Tage mit Modeling Express beschäftigt und komme eingentlich ganz gut damit klar. Allerdings will sich mir die Strategie beim Erstellen von Zeichnungen nicht recht erschließen.
Ich habe ein Projekt mit mehreren Teilen und möchte nun für jedes der Teile eine Zeichnung erstellen. Wenn ich in das Annotation Module wechsle kann ich zwar für jedes Teil eine Zeichnung erstellen aber ich sehe immer nur die zuletzt erstellte Zeichnung. Wie kann ich eine schon erstellte Zeichnung laden? Im Structure Browser sehe ich die Zeichnungen Magentafarben unter den Teilen. Ich würde erwarten, dass man duch Doppelklick oder ähnliches eine Zeichnung öffnen könnten aber das scheint nicht zu funktionieren.

Interchange Format for 3D Model to import to Creo
Hi,
I'm currently working on a very simply 3D model that I need to bring into a more powerful software to continue working on as 3D Builder in Windows 10 is being pushed to its limits.

What interchange format can I use? I'm at a loss here, and I'd really like to get started on working on this file more.

Need help using the pattern command.
I have abandoned trying it on my part, and have just extruded a cube, and put a hole in it. I want to pattern the hole. I'm getting errors such as No valid owner found for the reference object. I have tried to follow the help file, but after hours of attempts, I've given up trying.
I can't select the hole. All I get is the above error message, along with another that I can't reproduce at the moment.
Can anyone point me to a source that helps out with explaining this?

Error loading database (Workmanager)
This just started a day ago. We have been using this program and system for 5+ years with no problem. Error message that the engineers are getting when they try to start up the Model Manager. "could not connect to database server: (name of our server) The error code at the bottom of the detailed summary is. Error Messages = 10002 - ***ERROR: Failure in communication to server. As far as we know we have not made any changes other than Microsoft updates which we have backed out the latest ones, which did not fix this issue. Any help here? we do not have a service contract at this time.

ich habe die Studenten Version von Creo 2.0, das sollte aber kein Problem sein:
Und zwar kann ich mein Bauteil nicht drehen oder sonstig bewegen. Die Zoom-Funktioniert funktioniert, ich kann allerdings nicht mit der Strg.-Taste arbeiten.
Wo kann ich die Tastenbelegung überprüfen/ändern ändern? Ich nutze Windows 8.

Direct Modeling Express Proxy Issue?
My computer recently changed locations on the company internet. I have been using Direct Modeling Express for several years successfully but now I get a proxy request and warning when I start. It looks like I'll be thrown out after 72 hours?
I clearly have internet access. The company IT support is not sure what type of Proxy information Direct Modeling Express requires. Proxies are not generally used, they say.
Connection failed.
For Modeling Express to automatically activate, it requires access to the internet. Please check if a proxy has to be specified, and enter your company's proxy server details so that the activation can proceed

PTC Proxy Configuration: Connection failed
I am new to the PTC Creo Direct Modeling Express 6.0 setup, and downloaded this free single user CAD tool to get started with making 3D objects. I choose the 64-bit version, and installed on my Windows 8.1 machine. After installing, I want to start the program, and it asked me to activate for new users. After registering for an account with PTC, I then attempted to activate, and get the following:
Connection failed.
For Modeling Express to automatically activate,
it requires access to the internet. Please check if a proxy has to be specified, and enter your company's proxy server details so that the activation can proceed.
I don't have any proxy settings in my browser, and am on a home network behind a NetGear wireless router. I do have access to the internet, and can't seem to determine why I am getting this message. Has anyone else seen this before? Any idea what I need to do to get PTC to see the internet?

Funktion für die Darstellung einer Kugel im Raum
Hallo, ich verwende Mathcad 11 für "Psycho-Mathematik", wobei das Betriebssystem des Gehirns modelliert wird.
Zur anschaulichen und möglichst verständlichen Darstellung würde ich in Mathcad 11 die räumliche Funktion einer Kugel in Form eines Netzes benötigen.
Am liebsten in Parameter-Darstellung: (A,B,C) im Raum. Die Kugel würde dann mit verschiedenen Radien animiert.
Könnte mir jemand eine möglichst einfache Funktion zur Darstellung einer Kugel im Raum beschreiben?
